Wait wait, let me guess, now all of the sudden we’re not literally fascists for thinking that it would be best if Biden stepped down. A sincere fuck you too everyone who commented accordingly for the last month.

You’re allowed to think so long as you agree. Pick a cult quick before everyone hates you.

I kept saying he should have been replaced a year ago. Hell I didn’t ever want him to be president, I think at this point it’s too late to get rid of him and expect anything good. And a black woman being president isn’t gonna happen in the u.s.

The Democrats should literally nominate Tom Hanks and he’d win, honestly. Just get a figurehead in there who will win on sheer popularity

I don’t know. The rest of the world was shocked when racist ol’ U.S. elected Obama (not to say the rest of the world doesn’t have racism). I think change really animates you guys. In a sick way, even Trump is a sign of that.

Now I’m not sure Harris is really a “change candidate” (don’t know much about her tbh), but anything outside the status quo – I think – is what’s going to get your non-automatic voters out there.

Looking at the bigger picture (after this election…), it sounds like your DNC is what keeps legitimate progressive/change candidates off the ballot - not that people won’t vote for them. But maybe I’m in a bubble.

Merelly if she’s not an unwavering supporter of genocidal ethno-Fascists, it will already mean that this election is not a constest between two evil lovers of Fascism.

This is a replay of Hillary Clinton I’m afraid.

Obama was an extremely competent extremely strong black man, he was able to leave the charge and convince the minority communities to rally.

Harris is openly pro police. I don’t think these communities will be voting Trump anytime soon but they also might not really feel engaged enough to go vote Harris.

This is the kind of move that makes the moderates stay home. The only thing the left has going for it with this move is the crazier Trump acts the more likely they will be to come out, and he’s pretty f****** crazy.

It’s the good old Stockholm Syndrome of those who have never lived under anything but the American Political System: there’s this instinctive compulsion to chose and unwaveringly support whomever of the people imposed to them by those holding their lives hostage looks less nasty.

It’s an understandable animal-level survival instinct, though on a broader, strategical perspective, it actually preserves and even reinforces unfairness of the system - it’s been a long, long time since the Tree of liberty was last refreshed with the blood of tyrants and patriots and it shows.
