Atheist should also believe in God:
1- When someone is dead why the family members become very eager to dispose the dead body as soon as possible, where is gone that love ?
Because, to whom we love he is gone from the body. Then question arises, who is gone out of the body? And why immediately the shining of the body also goes just after death?
That was the God in the form of divine light, who left the body at a definite time.
2- We can not take birth without parents, then how come this vast world take birth without a planner a designer or a creator?
I feel really very pity and compassionate upon those people who are not doing anything to earn what they should, but they are just busy in earning the illusion of God and not the God.
However, even being an atheist if someone is doing all the righteous deeds in the life and not jealous or hatred to anyone, and not supporting violence, and consuming pure vegetarian food and beverages, he will at least get again a human birth to achieve the Supreme and believe the Supreme, and at least shall not be dropped into hell.
When someone is dead why the family members become very eager to dispose the dead body as soon as possible, where is gone that love?
The love is still there for the person, but their body is now a rotting thing that can make the living sick if not disposed of properly.
We can not take birth without parents, then how come this vast world take birth without a planner a designer or a creator?
Because there isn’t a God that creates humans; humans create humans. See: Biology.
Read books other than the Bible and you might find all your questions have answers, and none of them come from an invisible sky daddy.
If you read carefully, this is clearly a Hindu. Which also explains the non-standard English.
You’re not too bright, are you?
Is there any chance .world admins could like ban this account for being a giant nuisance?
atheists can’t believe in god because then they wouldn’t be atheists. one does not simply fundamentally change one’s world view at a whim
I mean, while I agree at least with the second point in earnest and I don’t think this was the best argumentation for the post in general, I fundamentally agree with the sentiment, of course. But that’s like saying “why should a neonazi not be racist?” or “why should a Zionist actually try to either make amends and live with the actual locals or just pack up and go back to New York, Florida, Poland, Russia, Germany…?”, it goes against the core of who they have decided to be, it’s non-negotiable.
I would argue instead that atheists should at least believe in fundamental moral truths, that are self evident and only argued against in bad faith/ignorance, and live righteous lives. That way maybe God will forgive their inability to believe and put faith in God, because they strived to be good, and maybe they’ll be in Heaven as well. God’s THE Merciful, maybe it could happen, idk. 🤷
Hey Op, you gonna respond to any of this replies, or was it your goal to just rile people up and ditch the thread immediately?
Only people too dumb to realise how stupid religion is, believe in god.
Nobody should believe in anything without good evidence.
I’m not able to believe in something that can’t be proven.
Something like 98% of what you see in the night sky is already out of our reach. If you left right now, at the speed of light, you would never, ever, reach them.
Another consequence of that is that some day the light from those stars will also be unable to reach us. They’ll still be there, same as the day before, but not one shred of information from them will be attainable.
If you could go to this future, you would have no way of convincing people, except say, the ancient texts. To some extent it would not even matter because again, existing or not, there is no way for them to interact.
98% of what’s in the night sky would just have to be taken on faith.
Im not advocating religion here I just always thought there was some poetry in that.
You’re making an assumption that humanity will live long enough for that to happen.
At the rate we’re going, I doubt we’ll ever leave our home planet, and we’ll go extinct as the Sun’s output increases and boils the oceans away.
- Your argument seems to be “people bury dead bodies quickly after death, so they must have stopped loving the living person, so the thing they love is gone, so the thing they love was God”. Not a single one of these statements follows from what precedes it. The argument is nonsense from beginning to end.
- This is the cosmological argument. It was shit when Anselm conceived it and it’s shit now. You can read about the many problems with it from any resource on philosophy.
This, kids, is your brain on religion. Don’t do religion.
What the fuck are you talking about?
What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
I once took the time to debate religion with a Jehovah’s witness. His reasoning went like this:
10 print “God exists because the Bible says so”
20 print “The Bible was written by God, so it is true”
30 go to 10
After a couple of rounds on that loop I gave up and never opened the door again.
It seems that you can’t be a good person if you are not part of some herd.
The Bible wasn’t written by God, that’s only someone who’s so ignorant that they never even read it would say. Sadly, that encompasses a lot of “religious” people, lol. I mean, many chapters even have their own authors in the text saying “hey, this is X writing to Y”, or “this is X, writing the accounts of Y folk in Z time and place”, or even “this is the son of David, king of Jerusalem”! 🤷😭 The amount of religious people that basically just talk shit is just depressing.
I tried to demonstrate that much, by applying logic and critical thinking. Unfortunately, logic does not work on religious people.
The whole exchange was like trying to grab a piece of gelatin using chopsticks.
It nevertheless gave me some insight on how religious minds operate.
