Do you think 21-, 22- and 23-year-old women and men should be allowed to consent to sex with older adults 10-20 years older than them? Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should. One could argue that an adult in their 40s or 50s who chooses to date someone 21-23 or 22-24 deserves to die. I have heard these arguments before.

What do you think?

Allowed by who, the government? The National Ministry of Dating? The Police?

What sorts of punishments should be appropriate for dating beyond the statistically arbitrary numerical age gaps?

You can see why there’s push back to this concept, right?

Now I’m curious how such a legislation would even look like. I mean, dating isn’t even a legally defined term. Is it OK if they don’t have sex? What if they’re not exclusive? And is oral allowed between consenting adults with a large age gap?

I’m having a hard time imagining any legislation that doesn’t begin with a preamble that defines all acts that are and aren’t covered by this legislation.

And even if someone somehow managed to craft this legislation in legally sound language that won’t be challenged in court by arguments such as “it was only a fling and nothing serious”, seeing cases about enforcing it would be fucking hilarious. “These are serial daters with a history of large age gaps, so we called the swat units to put a stop to it before they hurt anyone”

If you are 26+, it’s fine to date who you want. I’m talking about women who are 21, 22, 23 and 24 years old. Should they be allowed to date much older men who are in their 40s or 50s?

Do you think these older men deserve to die?
