The only real accomplishment he’ll get is non-US-controlled war crime trials for US military personell. Perhaps even politicians.

According to the Geneva conventions (which the US is a party to), the prospective war criminal’s state basically gets first dibs to prosecute their own war criminals. What this means is they can be game the system and be incredibly lenient - they just need to keep the appearance of impartiality.

A real alternative is another party stepping up. Historically that was the other side of the war, but today most likely an international org.

I never did, even before he jumped on the coattails of the obese orange paedo.

On the positive side, his appearance and meandering uselessness did give us quite a few memes and laughs on the way.

I think it is pretty clear he has no power, and is not actually involved in “doing” anything. He is just the mannequin saying whatever it is they want him to say.

I wonder if the UN will call out the US seeing as how they only seem to be all bark and no bite when it comes to Israel.

Mussolini was captured by Italian partisans on April 27, 1945, while attempting to flee to Switzerland disguised as a German soldier. The following day, April 28, he and his mistress, Clara Petacci, were executed by firing squad near the village of Giulino di Mezzegra in northern Italy.

Their bodies were then transported to Milan, hung upside down in a public square (Piazzale Loreto), and displayed before a crowd. This was done both as punishment and as a warning, since the same square had earlier been the site where Fascists executed resistance fighters.

    Just saying.

After this wonderful exchange, I am pretty sure the majority of americans must be locked in to doing nothing until they declare mandatory federal gun buybacks, ban “smartphones” and start executing people for petty crimes.

An I get it, work, life, groceries, taking care of yourself & family, etc. I discussed something similar in semi-recent posts. I do not have the answer here.

Even if all that I just mentioned happened, I feel like it would not even stir anywhere near 50% of the adult population, which is just my opinion of course. Not exactly scientifically backed, much like future USA medical research. Zing.

Catholic? There was some pedophilia involved in that Venezuela boat strike? Actually now that we are thinking about it, instead of missiles we could just drop pedophile catholic priests instead. Strap em to the wings like missiles. Several problems solved at once.

He is the average US Catholic in my opinion, and I went to 12 years of Catholic school so I’ve been around the block. The only part of the Gospel that they follow is being anti-choice. Oh wait that’s not in their bible? (Sorry I was disillusioned by this religion at a very early age)

It’s wild how judgy a lot of Catholics seem to be when the bible is pretty specific about God being the one who judges. His only mouthpiece on earth is the Pope so they should really be listening to that guy and focusing a lot more on not being a cunt as per the rest of the new testament.

that whole book was written by crazy old medieval con men and then editted repeatedly to suit various political needs over time. It’s closer to a medieval reddit than a word from any deity.

Regardless, it’s pretty specific on a lot of things like “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. There’s no caveats to that, like it’s okay if you tell someone else or an autonomous drone to kill it’s not your problem when they do it, or you can totally murder people if they might be doing something you think is bad. The book is nonsense written to stop ancient middle eastern goat farmers from dying before they turned 20 but JD is claiming to be a Catholic so regardless of the fairytale status of the bible, he should be following it.

That part is only supposed to be brought up if somebody else is judging them. It’s not cognitive dissonance if they can keep from thinking about it well enough.

I dont think genocide is a strong theme for catholics, besides it being evil in general. That christian end time kookiness isnt strong there either.

These Nazis need to learn the meaning of due process, like those other Nazis. Enjoy your time of freedom couch fucker. No couches in prison.

It’s very shortsighted for leaders to be pro anything that doesn’t have due process.

If this regime doesn’t keep power forever the next regime can just disappear him and his family and just paste his response saying he doesn’t give a shit about due process when someone asks what happened to them.

I was actually thinking about mob justice vs due process yesterday, and how it applies to the most despicable individuals.

On the one hand, mob justice often provides a sense of that guy definitely got what he deserved. But on the other, news about what happened to Mussolini’s body was allegedly what preceded Hitler’s decision to kill himself.

If history had been allowed to witness the two (not to mention Himmler) truly brought to justice on a world stage, could it have potentially decreased the chances others would feel emboldened enough to follow in their footsteps?

I highly doubt it. Power thirsty assholes won’t be stopped so easily.
