Why do you think an assassination is more probable than an accidental death for someone with a medical history? Is this based on facts, or is it just because it fits your narrative better? I don’t think it’s a distraction, Trump’s been talking about tariffs since he took office. And besides it seems clear he doesn’t give two shits about what people say.
Vote. In every election. In the primaries. The city you live in. The school council. And convince everyone you know to vote, too. Protest. Strike. Make people you know angry about what’s happening so they are motivated to stir shit up. You still can change things, but you are right: you can’t do it alone. So find as many people you can who can do it with you. Time is running out.

The article you cite talks about military spending, not industrial capacity. Russia is running on a war economy, Europe isn’t; this large difference in spending is to be expected. Surely Europe realises it cannot rely on the US for defense anymore, so there’s a possibility they choose to dramatically increase its defense spending. If Ukraine loses the war, a lot of European countries won’t have too much trouble convincing their citizens it needs to be done. The reason Europe has no “concrete solution”, like you said, is because they won’t accept the kind of compromise Putin would want. Now that the US decided not to be an ally anymore, I don’t think they’ll just stay there doing nothing.
Right now I can’t find any reason to exclude this possibility honestly
So what happens if Zelensky sides with Europe on this one? How does the US apply its peace plan if it’s been negotiated solely with Russia? The only way I see this working is the US sending troops to fight along with Russia…

They see it as a problem because it challenges how they see the world. They have a hard time adjusting to how society has evolved, so rather than trying to change their beliefs they use their power to force the world to conform to their views.

In 2016 I thought That’s it, the US is headed for a civil war 2.0 in the next 10 years. I don’t believe that now because no one seems to be doing anything to resist this destruction of democracy by the silicon valley billionaires.
Move fast and break things will be easy for them if nobody even tries to slow them down.
Those are two different problems.
Years and years of politicians moving the goalposts further right, letting the rich get richer, allowing more money into politics and disenfranching voters is not something you reverse in a single election, and it won’t change until ordinary people get into politics more and at every level.
But if you vote for Trump or abstain from voting, you’re encouraging it.
