3 years agoi believe they typically run as a service on a computer, monitoring the subreddit via the reddit api, the when it finds new stuff, it posts it onto lemmy.

very nice! i’ve been using the fork for a while now, and it’s been rock solid. glad to see it will be available on fdroid soon.
