There is actually a trick to open them. Just slide the two halfs of the zip along each other and (between your fiingers) the ends will pop open. This is a trick I use in retail almost every day.

This is my solution as well. It is worth remembering however that unlike paid services you are on the hook for your own backups. Not really a downside IMO, but something extra that needs to be done.
Not sure if it made it into this release or not, but transitioning support is in the bleeding version, so this won’t be the case for long

It is probably an old case design. In the early water cooling days, there would be separate watercooling units that sat outside the case. The grommets were so you could pass your tubing through.
