Everything around here is dead or dying because of decades of total, uncontested Republican rule. Whole towns here are nearly abandoned. And yet, they STILL bitch about how the Democrats, who have no control here, have ruined everything.

That actually literally happened to my mom. Went months with a front door that wouldn’t latch because they refused to repair it after the fact.

Long story short, building got struck by lightning and one of the units caught fire. Everyone evacuated. Billy Badass firefighter than proceeds to kick down my mom’s door after she’s already evacuated to make sure that the unit was unoccupied and that the fire hadn’t spread. Her unit was on the for end of the building from the lightning strike and fire.

I know lots of firefighters, and most of them are authoritarian adrenaline junkies.

They’re especially desperate to split the Democrat and Independent votes since it’s become very obvious that RFK Jr has been fragmenting the voter base on the right. The libertarian votes that Trump just assumed would be his have a very good chance of going to Master Brain Worm.

Persona. I’ve had conversations with friends after playing P4 or P5 for awhile where I wondered what response would max out my confidant points with them.

I really wish I could remember the name of it, but it’s about a lawyer who effectively puts the devil on trial, except it’s really messed up in parts. There’s this entire sequence involving a girl, a young child, who over time seduces the main character who describes in great detail the experience of screwing this child, only for it to be revealed that the girl was the devil/a demon of some sort whose sole purpose is to corrupt the main character. The majority of the book was great, but that particular sequence was well into distasteful and disturbing.

I think it was called Son of the Endless Night, but I’m not certain if that’s correct.
