Making me pay $70 for Mario Kart World impacts me way more directly than a company exploiting public water resources, ergo Nintendo is more evil than Nestle.

Nothing says “Friday” like the failure of a critical system!
What does worthwhile even mean? Have you ever had any sort of positive interaction? Who’s to say that small moment of enjoyment wasn’t worthwhile?
Go find a someone who’s asking for help and help them.
It’s a skill you can develop. For example ask yourself a question like “What do I want for lunch?” and then answer it. The more you talk to yourself the more you can learn about yourself. Be a friend to yourself.
The voices in your head are still you, and it’s up to you to decide what thoughts to act on.
There’s plenty of civil conflict. Trump is trying to make it uncivil by calling in the military (as if local police weren’t already militarized enough).
Haha, I can actually get down with that. Anyone crazy enough to do that is probably a genuine person who’s willing to engage with the insanity of existence.
Never get into the details, that’s where the devil is.
I can’t speak for everyone, but when I wear a cross it’s in reference to Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”
To me the cross is symbolic of finding the courage to live our lives motivated by a radical love in order to overcome the fear of death and pain.
It’s like Goku once said while fighting to save the world “this is the power to go further beyond”
Or when Scout explains his date plan to Spy.
Spy: you have a dinner date for 7. What time do you arrive? Scout: 7… AM. Case the restaurant, run background checks on the staff. Can the cook be trusted? If not I’ve gotta kill him. Dispose of the body, replace him with my own guy no later than 4:30.
That’s fine. Thanks Dave.
Quit your current life and move to a country where they speak the language you want to learn. Get a menial job in a small town, find new friends, and learn what love is. Then you’ll know what it truly means to speak a language.
No. I’m suggesting that just because a person is intolerant doesn’t mean that they’re oppressive.
Oppression implies that there is an oppressor with some sort of power or control over the other party.
Intolerance is being unwilling to accept something.
Only an idiot would spend their time trying to figure out who the biggest idiot is.
There’s a substantial difference between intolerance and oppression.
Both, but it also depends on if I’m winning the argument or they are.
I think the current online alpha male culture is a marketing tool meant to validate the antisocial beliefs of potential customers in order to convert them into paying customers.
Obviously it is god’s fault for creating this flawed universe in which I don’t win every single game I play.
Probably for the same reason I have a closet full of computer parts, except I can’t fit tractors and cars in my closet.
