That Trump cutting funding for USAID will kill 14 MILLION PEOPLE, and we’re not calling him Hitler or Ghengis Khan. Wtf.

Hire product designers and artists to go to every high school art classroom and ask kids “If you could invent anything in the world, what would it be?” and then draw it for them. So they can get a taste of that feeling that they too have something to contribute to the world. Put the ideas up on a site like kickstarter, with the profits going towards their college education. Nvm, fuck that. I’d pay for college for everybody.
I’d also travel while I could before the planet gets much hotter.
I feel like these are small goals left over from when I was younger bc I can’t properly conceive of what a world without scarcity for me and everyone else looks like. I’d start with the housing problem though, bc that’s what I’m facing rn.
I like the etched one! The heat printed one looks too busy on the brown background and with that wallpaper. I kind of like the idea in another comment of etched flowers below and heat printed “B” above.
How do you know they don’t?
You remember beanie babies? 😂
Thanks for reminding me to add this here! Wiki link from another lemmy user a few days ago I found incredibly helpful in reframing things from “right vs left” to a broader, less politicized view that just speaks to human nature: tolerance vs intolerance - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance
This is ridiculous, any way we can privately fund the tools staying online for scientists to use?
I am - new to lemmy and don’t know what to subscribe to, and local stuff I don’t much care about, so all it is
THIS. 14 million ppl are going to die now bc of trump. How many did ghengis khan kill?
John Oliver did a segment on this, you can search his name and AI Slop on yt to see it. I didn’t realize how much fb was pushing it bc I haven’t used it in years, but wow, am I now extra glad I don’t use it anymore. And poor Pinterest, r.i.p.
Thank you, good read!
