  • That may be the case, but African Buffalo are like one of the most dangerous animals to humans on the planet. They have long had the nickname of “Black Death” and “Widowmaker” by the locals because they are so aggressive. The bachelor buffalo (older males that don’t travel with a herd anymore) are known to be the most dangerous. From the description that’s what it sounds like they were tracking. So one of those dudes killing the shit out of someone isn’t exactly uncommon even historically.

Some cracker ass rich dude hunting them and then being killed by one is kind of fucking hilarious. Can you imagine this dipshit thinking that a buffalo wouldn’t trample the shit out of him cause his bank account had a bunch of 0’s? I just imagine him turning around as he’s being charged at and yelling, “You can’t do this I have money!”

I didn’t realize there were some people out there saying, “Good fences make good neighbors” unironically until today. Like the whole poem is the narrator talking about how he isn’t so sure if it’s true and his neighbor just repeating it. I mean, damn, it’s not even a subtext. Like this excerpt pretty heavy handedly says that maybe you shouldn’t build an arbitrary wall:

Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder

If I could put a notion in his head:

‘Why do they make good neighbors? Isn’t it

Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.

Before I built a wall I’d ask to know

What I was walling in or walling out,

And to whom I was like to give offense.
