I agree, gender is extremely overrated 🖤🤍💚🤍🖤
Orientation: Aromantic Asexual (AroAce)
Identity + Gender Modality: Agender + Isogender (Please note I don’t identify as cis or Trans)
Pronouns: Use any, Idc, *mostly doesn’t really matter to me (just not it/its).

Probably assholes who just hate femboys.
That’s called meta-roleplaying, honestly not a fan of it. It really limits and ruins the experience, both in video games and TTRPGs. The goal of fantasy is to do things you can’t do, to be someone who isn’t you.
It’s a bad practice that I was told when learning TTRPGs that I should work on breaking it. You can get much more out of the game if you do. Like why limit yourself to a certain race or class just because you think it’s what you’d be if you were in the game, that’s not you in the game, it’s someone else, whoever you want it to be in fact, don’t squander that opportunity.
It’s one thing that always puzzled me about this argument. Like in a fantasy you should be aiming to try new things, think outside of the box. I mean some people maybe don’t but in my opinion if you’re not then in my opinion you’re playing the game wrong.
Glad I could be helpful, if anyone is interested I made a community to discuss Isogender experiences !isogender@lemmy.blahaj.zone
Yeah, it’s nice to see more people posting here again.
You didn’t do anything wrong by the way OP, I just leave these reminders on posts where it seems like violations may happen in the comments to remind others to keep it together.
Just to give a disclaimer for people who might comment, it’s not okay to tell actual other people that they are an egg to their face or behind their back. When dealing with real people it is mandatory to observe the egg prime directive, and to respect the way they identify. Just a reminder for people who may be new here or not understand.
Of course, as long as they’re valid reposts to related communties/groups (can also post it to Masotodon) and you don’t spam.
Yeah, it sucks when the country you live in is unaccepting or hostile and/or also enforces stupid gender stereotypes of what people can and can’t wear. I’m glad I live somewhere that is largely accepting, it sucks to deal with people who are transphobic or hostile towards gender-non-conformity.
There’s nothing wrong with wearing feminine clothes for Halloween, or even just for the hell of it. Clothes are cloth and anyone can wear them, I’ll never understand people who are so funny about some people wearing certain clothes or try to restrict others from wearing them for no good reason.
Just let people wear fem clothes if they want to.
Personally I like my name, it’s a very nice and ambiguous name. I definitely need to work on that second one though.
Wow, that’s not okay. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve had similar experiences myself with egging but it probably wasn’t anywhere near as bad as what you went through. I hope you’re doing better and are with better people who respect you for who you are.
No harm in exploring gender presentation, sometimes it can lead you to discover something about yourself, and even if it doesn’t that’s okay. There can be benefit in doing it even if you don’t get anything major out of it.
Honestly I think it’s best not to make to much out of this kind of thing, it can mean something but it can also be part of exploring.
It can cause blood clots which can kinda damage any organ they happen in, heart attacks and strokes are very likely. It can also cause liver toxicity, gall stones, and even kidney damage as well as a multitude of other awful things. It also can cause the exact opposite effects that would be desired from Estrogen at high dosage, more estrogen ≠ more changes and more faster please.
In short, it’s a bad idea. Can cause a lot of serious damage, and even negate the purpose for doing it in the first place. Stick to the acceptable dose if you want it or need it.
It can be like that, I feel kind of like that since I do have some small connection to being male but also a strong lack of connection to gender at all.
Bottom one is me when I realized I’m Isogender and that people will strugle to understand and recognize me. even in queer spaces 😔
I guess it can be interpreted differently by different people. Though I do feel that at least in the original communities it is posted in on Reddit and Twitter it’s very likely it’ll be read as invalid or a poor excuse in general, rather than them covering their own motivations. I say that because in the Reddit versions (and a tiny bit the Twitter versions as well) there is generally more of a sentiment that gender non-conformity is a “sign” or are “signs” and they generally are very dismissive of reasons like the ones given. They have a poor record of following the egg prime directive and I have in fact seen on r/traa2 people blatantly shit talking it and saying they would never follow it 😬.
So while I do get that there can be different interpretations, a generalized one (the not so great one) and a personalized one (the better one) I do recognize the communities they were originally posted to on Reddit and Twitter, and I do know which ones they tend to gravitate towards.
I think that it would be significantly better had it been framed as an internal dialogue rather than external criticism. It might still be a bit problematic if it phrases the reasons given as invalid, rather than just not what it is for them, because even though to many people it feels like they said something stupid, they weren’t, those are valid, real reasons why people do it. The idea that the reasons aren’t valid as opposed to being simply not the reasons for themself in their case is also not great in the same way.
I had a lot of female friends in school, and related a lot to girls, but I’m still not a girl. In fact I’m not really anything
