I went the iPhone way as an experiment. The interface is nice, but no matter what you do, the phone is always listening and sending data to Apple, it doesn’t respect the microphone privacy settings in that way. GrapheneOS felt like death by a thousand cuts on my Pixel 6a, and yet I’ll be going back to graphene or lineage on a new phone because that’s how blatant the data-gathering is.
