looking through this persons comment history just shows that they’re probably just a right-wing troll. And the descriptions in the community of it being a “free-speach” community just confirms that.

I must be really old because the only words I understood from that sentence was slurs and fucking stupid.
neurodivergent are people who have atypical brains. like those with adhd, autism, etc. several of the admins of dbzero are neurodivergent, and many of the mods are as well, so they obviously don’t appreciate slurs against people like them.

I’m not the mod. He was temp banned by somebody else, for being a dick and excusing slurs against neurodivergent people. I just called it before it happened because I’ve seen plenty of other ableist dicks get banned for it.

you said a temp ban for ableist slurs on an instance run by neurodivergents was “fucking stupid”, when the OP refused to edit their post to remove the slurs. what did you think was gonna happen? you got a temp ban yourself, it’s hardly the end of the world.
In part as well. There are many things that have built up over time, this whole post made me realize I had enough
- Not wanting people to downvote what they don’t agree with
- Easily consider things as brigading and vote manipulation
- Easy censorship on specific subjects (including anti AI even though anti AI people are annoying from time to time)
- Fear of not being able to criticize db0’s administration

Think there was one other too but can’t remember their name. The complaint is that they don’t understand what lurkers are (vote but don’t comment) or that people might browse all and not care about AI but down vote something because it is awful. Then they make ridiculous accusations and accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being a troll.
If they just banned down votes and banned anyone who down voted with the reason ‘down votes not allowed’ then they would not be getting the widespread negative reaction that they are getting by accusing people of brigading or vote manipulation or ‘anti-ai harassment’ and all their other stupid and insulting made up ban reasons.

Yes, unruffed is the one YPTB mod who is cahoots with the other three mods (of other communities) that are all doing the mass bannings, and even using each other’s moderation as an excuse for more bans.
Example of mass banning (multiple communities, many users in a short time span)
Note I am perfectly fine with the last one for no down voting allowed for that community. It is stupid and rules don’t show in the main feed, but no down voting is in the rules and they were banned without being accused of more than what they did.
being anti-AI is not allowed per the rules of those communities. as for the other user, that user is literally a sockpuppet account with zero comments or posts that is used strictly to downvote. I petitioned today for them to instance banned.
