I wonder how this compares to the Protonmail app. I use Thunderbird on desktop, might check this out if I have time.
It supports all normal mail servers.
But for sure Protonmail does some fancy encryption, PGP is not nice to use
On Windows, Thunderbird requires the Protonmail Bridge application, it’s pretty easy to setup. I wonder if this is even possible on Android.
I missed the news that K-9 was becoming Thunderbird for Android. I used to use it before switching to FairEmail, I think because development had stalled. It’s a solid choice, hopefully they don’t add too much in like they have with the desktop version.
It’s just a rebrand, but I’ve used Thunderbird for so long and gotten so used to the icon aesthetics, it’s awesome to see it come together finally.
