Are there any apps out there like 9gag but without the disgusting hatred and racism or should I cut my losses and delete it?

Nothing specific, I just like the way it is, where there’s a wide pool of topics you can like that gets funneled into one page. Lime reddit I guess but more lively than lemmy?

Lemmy is dead compared to most other places, and even then it’s just regurgitating memes from other places. Sadly to get fresh memes you have to delve into a shithole.

That is correct. Sorry I wasn’t more specific. There’s some really funny stuff on 9 gag, but you need to sift through a lot of stupid fucked up and massively unfunny shit to find it. I love the idea of 9 gag as a whole where you can choose a wide array of topics to funnel into a personalized feed. Its easy to use, the UI is clean (if you ignore the ads) and snappy and downvotes / upvotes don’t seem to be nearly as important.
