Yeah absolutely zero chance anyone is gonna make a moder smartphone with all parts from a single country. Maybe in China but definitely nowhere else.

You’re technically right but only because Taiwan (despite what China fervently wants) is a separate country from China. If you follow the official Chinese party line that they aren’t then yes you could make a modern phone entirely from parts made in “China”. It would at a minimum be more “made in China” than anything Trump is peddling as “made in USA”.

I am skeptical it is only made of US components, if nothing else due to the sheer number of components. This video (note this video is an ad for a product) is about the difficulties making something far simpler out of entirely US components, and they straight up couldn’t do it even when trying - suppliers outright lied about the country of origin in some cases, and some parts were extremely difficult to source in the US. This is a grill brush with like 10 components and not a smart phone.

It’s almost like everything Republicans claim to stand for is a hollow lie that exists only to justify their greed and the harm they inflict.

Haha. They just quietly remove this and people who love him are already sold on ths idea of this phone and won’t care.

    Sigh.

The claim was never suppposed to stand up to scrutiny. The biggest rubes have already bought in and won’t read any of the publications critical of the initial marketing. The biggest rubes have already reserved a device and will think it was manufactured stateside.

lol, ‘American Proud’ design… not even ‘designed in America’

Trump will say anything associated with him is ‘American Proud’ no matter where it was made,

It’s almost like he’s a lying narcissist or something. He’ll say whatever will get him closer to his goals with absolutely zero intent on keeping his word, and by the time even 20% of the country has caught on, he’s already several grifts and/or scandals downstream. If anybody does manage to confront him on it and demand an explanation, he just lies and changes the subject.

      Promises made, promises delivered.

I truly don’t understand how he isn’t running out of rubes. He’s been very publicly exposed as the con man he is for over a decade now. His marks keep getting fucked over and are complaining about it. How are so many people still falling for his bullshit?

          Trump: “I’m gonna do [blank].”

          Me: “He’s gonna do [blank].”

Redcaps: “He’s not gonna do [blank], idiot!”

Trump: “We have done [blank] and are committed to accelerating the [blank] policy.”

Redcaps: "omg, we had no idea that he would actually do [blank]! This is horrible!

Me: “Okay, so are you gonna denounce that at all? Maybe think twice about whether you support a thing that he tells you he’s gonna do going forward?”

Redcaps: “What? Why? It’s actually good and smart that he did [blank], and you’re an idiot loser for still thinking about that. Also everything in my life is bad and getting worse, and it’s the fault of the party that currently wields no power. The party currently in power which is famous for staunchly opposing change will be the key to changing the trajectory of my life.”

How are these people not developing an ounce of critical thinking skill? I didn’t think you needed to be a genius to display basic pattern recognition. A dog can do that effortlessly.

Republicans are the biggest suckers there are. There’s a reason as soon as the jig is up grifters pivot to conservative talking points.
