The website failed, went to an error page, and then charged my credit card the wrong amount of $64.70. I received a confirmation email saying I’ll receive a confirmation when my order has been shipped, but I haven’t provided a shipping address or paid the full $499 price tag. It is the worst experience I’ve ever faced buying a consumer electronic product and I have no idea whether or how I’ll receive the phone.
I look forward to learning more about how terrible these phones turn out.
Like, people really do be showing how little they know about consumer electronics when they say “yah this phone was 100% built in America”, or that they’re a grifter lying to their audience.
I don’t think there even is a facility In the US that could even potentially make the panel for the display. And there is exactly one fab that could make a modern processor for a smartphone SOC, (excluding intel’s facilities, but they do X86 chips so not really relevant for a smartphone.)
No Chinese spyware, just Google and the CIA.
It will absolutely not be like the last « true American phone » trust me bro, just one more phone to change the game, trust me I’m not a conman, trust me.
