I’m homeless (working on it, have a few interviews coming up) and I noticed that there was a mutual aid community located in hexbear. Do I need to make another account or can I use this one to make a post there? Also if there’s a loan/borrow community let me know.

I’ve been through like four pages of that cancer and I never found one that was fulfilled and that was only a couple weeks ago.
I really don’t believe that unless you’re checking from a defed’ed account. There are literally multiple recent posts right now that have been edited to show they were fulfilled requests, which is common. Unless you’re a serial busker(and there are definitely a handful of them) most people get at least some help.
You don’t even need an account if you go straight to the instance and how else would I know it’s all meme responses?
I’m not sure if you realize, but the meme responses are to bump the post activity and increase visibility. I’ve personally fulfilled a handful of requests there and often the op doesn’t update the post, which I personally don’t care about - people are struggling and I’m happy to chip in. As it happens, I’ve given to this particular user twice.
