They can read a poll. Gun control is a horrible issue for Democrats. Hogg is precieved as the whiny bitchboy on the wrong side of a single-issue voter issue. Ditching him entirely helps their aggregate electoral chances.

The current administration is almost too easy to target, so why distract the public by trotting out bad/losing personalities?

Hogg is totally correct. The DNC is doing next to nothing. When republicans are in the same situation they block Democrats from doing much of anything. It never seems to be the same when Democrats lose power.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, progressives and leftists have to abandon the Democratic Party for their own good. I’m happy people are finally realizing how deeply broken this party is but for fucks sake it had to be this obvious for some of you to finally use your eyes and ears.

The Democratic Party is complicit in the rise of authoritarianism in America and is complicit in the rise of Trumpism. The old fucks couldn’t bother doing one thing that would benefit anyone but themselves and now we are here dealing with the consequences of their actions.

The Democratic leadership seems convinced that they’re doing the right things despite ample evidence they’re not. Someone comes along and tries to get them to realize they’re on the wrong track and their immediate reaction is to shut them down/out. There’s no self awareness. There’s no introspection. Democracy itself was on the ballot in 2024 and they acted like it was just a normal election. They’re still acting that way. They’re responsible for this mess, and until they realize it and get their collective shit together it’s only going to get worse.

I will never forgive them for denying us a Bernie candidacy and they haven’t made any move to redeem themselves since.

This is like you won’t cheer for the Reds because Pete Rose played for them…

We’ve got a decent chair for the first time in 50 years man…

It would be absolutely insane to pick now as the moment to stop holding our noses, because we’ll have a fair primary and might not even have to hold our noses.

Like, at least vote in the Dem primary if you’re not voting in any other primary, that’s not a big ask.

Both parties are in the pocket of the ownership class. The Democrats seriously would rather see the republic fall to a pro corpo dictatorship, than do anything to address wealth inequality.

Democrats are going to lose in 2028. The existing Clintonian/Corporate Dem leadership is 0-3 at running elections against MAGA, the modern Republican party. They managed to eek out a win in 2020 due to Covid, but without Covid, Trump would have easily been reelected in 2020.

DNC leaders do not know how to run a modern presidential campaign. They’re a bunch of old corrupt dinosaurs that still think it’s 1995. They are utterly incapable of winning nationwide elections. They don’t respect their own base. They don’t respect people’s intelligence. They stick to proven fatally wrong campaign methods like TV-first ad campaigns, pandering to Republicans, and running artificial, robotic, inhuman, inauthentic candidates whose every utterance is dictated by corporate donors and focus groups.

They are going to lose in 2028. They can’t change. They don’t want to change.

They ran on “we’re not Trump” in 2016.

They ran on “we’re not Trump” in 2020.

They ran on “we’re not Trump” in 2024.

They will run on “we’re not Trump” in 2028.

They don’t believe in anything. They don’t stand for anything. They won’t fight for anything. They’re only good for one thing and one thing alone - losing.

AOC might have a shot at beating MAGA in 2028, but there is not a snowball’s chance in Hell they’ll allow her to gain the nomination. They’ll rearrange the entire primary schedule to prevent her from being nominated. They’ll get a half dozen other nominally progressive candidates to run, dividing the progressive vote, while ensuring there is only one corporate centrist running. They’ll manipulate the entire process to ensure that their preferred corporate whore wins the nomination.

Republicans are going to win the 2028 presidential election. And that’s making the big assumption that there will be a free and fair election in 2028. But truthfully, even without Republican cheating, Democrats are going to lose in 2028. They will have no one to blame but themselves.

It’s less incompetence and more graft. They have to run the campaigns the way they do because that allows them to launder as much money as physically possible. To put as much of those donations into their own pockets. There’s a reason the Harris campaign was run the way it was. There’s a reason that they shoved Tim Walz into the closet. Couldn’t do anything to risk offending all the big Tech bro billionaires and huge corporate donors.

You say this as though the Democrats are trying to win.

They are not trying to win.

They’ve made an incredible cash cow grift out of losing elections.

They scare billions of dollars in political donations out of people, and where does that money go?

      It’s gone.

“Consultancy” contracts. “Advertising”. Gold-plated toilet seats by any other name.

Of COURSE they have no interest in winning elections. Any candidate who would win on their ticket is a threat to the congame.

Yes they do. They’re neoliberals. They’ believe in corporate profits. They stand for making money at the expense of you and your family. They’ll fight people who stand against their Israeli genocide.

The DNC is a dictatorship where the Chair can do whatever they want.

There’s no “pretty much” in there, they’re beholden to no one with zero accountability for anything.

The DNC chair who tried to shove Biden/Kamala down our throats is the same one that fucked up this vice chair election.

But they lost, and we got a great DNC chair who will do the right thing and stay impartial.

Continuing to blame him for things he literally had nothing to do with makes no logical sense.

I’ve spent over 20 years hating the DNC and it feels like buzzaro world lately.

But ya’ll legitimately didn’t just miss the battle, the war happened and you didn’t even notice.

Bernie’s whole thing was it wasn’t about a person it was about a movement, and to take over the party we had to take over voting seats of the DNC…

        And, well, we did that.

Mission Accomplished. We have a DNC chair who showed with their state party management they’ll run fair elections, and we can see in Minnesota that works out very well.

We spent decades working towards a chair like Ken Martin, don’t fall for propaganda from the neoliberals that now is the time to stop supporting the DNC.

remember: the DNC is just a random fucking organization all the Dems have agreed to let control them lol so when some party member tries to disconnect from them as evidence of their true behavior and tolerances and positions don’t forget… this isn’t how it HAS to be. they created this. it doesn’t need to be organized this way. it isn’t a law that there needs to be a DNC and RNC. this is their own game and they’re pretending it doesn’t exist when people criticize choices made at the table.

Its interesting right. When it comes to any attempts to get things done that would make the party more progressive, or more to more aggressively fight, there is always some rule, some policy, *the fucking “Parlementarian”, whatever, that blocks them.

The term, I believe, is called illiberalism. Its the facade of democracy; the trapings, the method: but none of its substance.

The Democratic party is the illiberal party.
