Senior presidential adviser Kari Lake appears to have resolved any doubts about what she wants to do with the Voice of America.

Lake seeks for it to look and sound a lot like the far-right One America News Network: on Tuesday night she announced that she had struck a deal to serve up the pro-Trump outlet’s news reports for Voice of America’s foreign audiences, at no taxpayer cost.

    I hope there is someone keeping track of this firehose of sewage so we know what needs to get cleaned up in the less-dystopian future (if we’re lucky enough to have one). Do we start a Project 2029(?), to return the country to sanity?

    Again, I’m not sure we’ll ever have the opportunity because the horizon is pretty dark. But it’s overwhelming just trying to keep track of how many of the country’s worst people are implementing their dream agendas with no oversight or limitation whatsoever.

      Given how they’re fucking with the electoral mechanics and bureaucracies, I’m honestly becoming pretty convinced that they have no real intention of allowing free and fair elections to ever occur in this country again.

        At this point I say we make them do it or lose. And if they go through with it, we simply have to start killing people until they stop.

        I don’t want that to be the case, but I think it is. What’s most important is we continue contesting the fuck out of them at every possible point. Accepting that they’re going to rig the process only makes it easier for them and suppresses the fight after.

              The idiot who had his arse kicked tried playing from the Trump deck, and it was the single most stupid thing he could have done

              The US isn’t unique, there are loads of shitty countries like Hungary and Argentina who have made stupid decisions too, but it’s definitely not the “whole world”, because contrary to popular opinion, the world is not America

                I’m guessing you’re from Canada? PP didn’t get his ass kicked, he lost by about 4%. That should frighten you.

                Although if you’re from Australia, the divide was nearly 10% on the TPP, so good on them.
