The cops won’t even show up if my car gets broken into. I get a file number, and it’s my responsibility to ask around about cameras in the area and tell them to send videos to the police. You can imagine how well that goes down.

Tesla lobbied to be able to sell direct to consumer instead of through locally owned dealerships. Damage to a dealership is an actual blow to the company which is different than all other car manufacturers.
