So it’s pretty much guaranteed at this point I can’t come up with the money this year to do taxes. With just a couple weeks left to get them done it’s a minimum of $60 for someone to do them and we are likely to owe more than $500 is my guess. I cannot figure out how to do them myself nor do I know anyone who does. I make to much for any kind of help but not enough to help myself.

Filing an extension requires you still to pay what you think you’ll owe. The extension just gives you more time to get the paperwork right and all the required forms together without facing fines or interest.
