So it’s pretty much guaranteed at this point I can’t come up with the money this year to do taxes. With just a couple weeks left to get them done it’s a minimum of $60 for someone to do them and we are likely to owe more than $500 is my guess. I cannot figure out how to do them myself nor do I know anyone who does. I make to much for any kind of help but not enough to help myself.

An extension is a good idea and if you’re underwater there is debt recovery assistance available (it will vary by region) which may include considering bankruptcy - but this is something you should talk to a professional about and unless you live in a backwards red state those professionals are usually state subsidized and free.
