I’m looking for an open-source program compatible with Linux that facilitates media sharing and collaborative curation among users. The ideal software would enable sharing any media content while allowing multiple users to collectively organize and manage the content. I would still like to hear about any similar software, even closed source or not compatible with Linux. I would greatly appreciate your suggestions.

Hydrus Network could work for this. It supports IPFS & you could open your own tag repository for managing the content.

I don’t think what you want exists … You could set up Jellyfin with Servarr and whatever that content-request tool is called (… Ombi?). So now you have a media server with multiple users and a way to request/add stuff. I’m unsure if you could somehow store the media on distributed Nextcloud instances or something?

Check Ombi.io , it’s the easiest hit for your usecase. Tbh, I thought overseerr or some other arr apps where taking requests from multiple users too and download all…
