It seems like mostly we treat choice of social media as a “this platform or that platform” decision. But personally speaking i like a few communities on a variety of social media. Well, by variety i mean Lemmy, Reddit, and Mastodon. For example, the “askhistorians” subreddit is magnificent (hopefully reddit won’t screw that up in future), and the “music” communities that i find on Lemmy are great. As for Mastodon, i’m still exploring.

So, if a person’s enjoyment of social media comes not from the platform but from the particular community, the question follows: Is there anybody who compiles guides or references or lists of suggestions for particular communities, regardless of the social media platform?
