It does I’m in the UK and have been swatted, completely wrecked my life for a few months I was interrogated/interviewed dozens of times in dozens of stations and my dad even got arrested and cautioned during it.
Worst thing about it as soon as they realise they have messed up they double down on trying to get you on anything.
To be fair I’m in N Ireland where the cops go absolutely mad compared with the rest of the UK at least that is the impression I get.
The other thing that really screwed me is I’m a Protestant and the initial phone call went to the mayors office (who is was well known to be an Ira supporter) and not the police (who seemed desperate to impress said mayor) .
I know now who did it to me and it was definetly sectarian in nature sadly.
While I do want them to face justice it cost me so much money simply defending myself I couldn’t afford for it to keep going.
