If they’re making this public now, is something about to happen? Or is it just pre-election jitters?
This is indeed an interesting release… you only say things like this is the enemy knows all of it and it provides some advantage domestically. You have to assume this was intended for republicans to rally around the defense bill.
…I really hope it works.
Maybe, although I would bet that Russia already knew about it and the CIA knows they knew. After all, the CIA and Ukraine have been in partnership for 10 years according to the article, long before the war began. And it’s not like Russia doesn’t pump tons of money into its intelligence agencies.
Knowing about it and being able to do something about it are two different things. The problem for Russia is the latter and I’m guessing the CIA has been long prepared for that scenario.
One of the issues russia has is that they’re all yes men at this point, so anyone who looks out of place could be a CIA spy. This causes them to be paranoid as fuck and ignore legit Intel. Good for us, bad for them. So they know the CIA is in the Kremlin and they know they can’t do anything about it.
That, and a general message, “We’re there and we ain’t go’in anywhere”
Yep, I figure in 40 years we’re going to be getting some great movies of spies in the Kremlin.
