is there device that is free from bad media?

  • i need to be able to efficiently research stuff on google and some websites like reddit or fb (fb groups). i can’t do this on iphone or ipad. UX is just too fucking slow.
  • i sometimes need to watch youtube videos. these can be black and white only.
  • i need to use calendar efficiently. again, UX is too slow on iOS or iPad

i want this device to be something such that it cannot give me pleasure or dopamine

something like a mix of kindle and macbook

    There are computers made bespoke for Amish people. It’s basically just a desktop loaded with a word processor and a spreadsheet program. You could easily cook up something like this with a Linux distro and an older laptop. Maybe even a Chromebook.

    I think your kinda shooting yourself in the foot by fucking with Reddit, YouTube, and Facebook. Those things run on dopamine.
