The whole point of the fediverse is you can set up your own server and connect with others under your own rules. If you want a mod-free space, you can literally make that.

As I see it, it’s just a question of whether personal tools (filters etc) can manage the conversation as well as central authority (admin, moderator).
Speaking from extensive experience, they cannot and most people rely on us to handle it for them.
