      Yes. But. He is also only 26 and his life has had an insane trajectory during the years when he is supposed to be learning empathy, responsibility, budgeting, getting an education, life. His frontal cortex is just now probably finalizing development. Musk, Zuck, Bezos, etc fuck em. They are old enough to know better. Donaldson is a pretty big douche currently and has made many mistakes, asking people to do things without himself fully understanding consequences, not consulting with responsible adults in the industries he and his friends are attempting to join. I don’t know. I don’t have much hope that he is not an asshole and he certainly is in his villain era. I’m just grasping at any glimpse of hope for society.

    Hey I have a question, if the US go ahead with the decision of making tiktok sell its US wing, are the privacy concerns over? Would tiktok be seen as a regular app like Instagram? Don’t get me wrong I hate any kind of doomscrolling app.

      First, I think that the concern is national security, not privacy. I don’t expect that it’d necessarily have a privacy impact one way or another.

      Second, if you’re located in Europe – I notice you’re on a .de home instance – I’m not sure whether this would have any direct impact for EU users if just the US operations are sold.
