What keeps you away from PeerTube? What features does PeerTube lack? If you were the developer of PeerTube, how would you improve it?
- Ability to comment without an account - That would lead to unstoppable spam. - Ok, but i still responded exactly to the question - yeah, what is your point? - My point is that i was never been able to be accepted in an instance, the registering is either disabled or the requests never accepted. So i can’t use. Not being able to comment is a deal breaker to me.

- You could comment from your Lemmy or Mastodon account. - Sometimes it works sometimes it foesn’t on lemmy. On mastodon the comment was not shown in peertube

- Easier to join and clearer instructions. I don’t really get how it’s supposed to work from a user perspective.
- More content, larger instances that can accept new users, etc. The model is great though.
- I think PeerTube should add support for paid-access content as you could then persuade the creators on Nebula to join. Since they are promoting their YT-alternative already, this would mean extra PeerTube publicity and users for free.
- instances should have a split front page with their own videos and videos from other instances, so people can dive right in from any instance. - the search on instances should also offer hits from other instances, somehow marked. following them should lead to that other instance. - there should be a flagship homepage that doesn’t need to host own content, but shows content from other instances. it is something ppl can bookmark or share as a starting point.
