I am using the official lemmy Android client, is there is a way or a third party client that at least fetch downvotes from .world or any other instance?
I am asking because it’s very weird to not be able to see posts score or the number of downvotes a post has. Feels very YouTubeish move.
Any solution here?

Switch to another instance. I think that’s the only way but I could be wrong. It’s up to the instance admins to turn down votes on or off
Reddthat has downvotes turned off, only upvotes are recorded on your instance. Jerboa (if that’s the client you’re talking about), has options to display downvotes as a percentage, up and down or net score only. Those options will only function if your instance records downvotes.
You can’t just get scores from other instances, that’s not how that works. The scores shown from each instances varies slightly due to different instances being linked. That’s helpful because if an egotistical admin spins up an instance with 5000 self-made accounts that all upvote a post that admin made, defederating that instance will remove the stuffed votes from the score.
Oh man, that sucks for me.
I guess there is no perfect instance that I can use.
Reddthat has downvotes disabled, on purpose. You might want to have a look at another instance, like discuss.online (US) or sopuli.xyz (EU)

I took about 20 mins looking for a instance that does not need email and about a day for them to accept my account.

Why do you care about seeing downvotes? They’re bad for your health anyway.
No. The website you’re using doesn’t share them, and possibly doesn’t even track them. They don’t support downvotes, full stop.
There’s no Platonic “Lemmy” for you to see or access. There’s 1000 different Lemmys, as each Lemmy-based website on the network is it’s own thing, hosting both local content and remote content that is syndicated to it. You can only see what’s hosted and surfaced on the website you’re using.
You may as well be asking if there’s any other way of seeing Instagram posts on Twitter.
Go to the hamburger menu in the upper right corner, then settings, then your username. There you should be able to enable downvotes. Unless your instance has them blocked entirely. Then you shouldn’t be able to see them.

Did they remove down votes from Jerboa? I haven’t used it in months and just use my phone browser.
I can at least say that Jerboa 0.55 has upvotes and downvotes.
AFAIR the official app doesen’t have a lot of the web-gui functionality. No idea about the other ones, since my browser works just fine.
