I doubt that these are stealth advertisements but apple know that a vast majority of the people who buy their stuff really, REALLY want others to see that they have them. It’s some deluded prestige/ status thing that they perceive apple products gives them.
That’s why it’s odd that these hugely popular posts are “Look what I, a third party, saw in the wild” and not first person videos which would make sense if early adopters were showing off. But first person vids featuring products often feel like an ad.
For example, it’s odd seeing someone wearing >$3k of stealable head gear that makes them blind, while on the subway
Yeah it seems like a great way to get mugged.
People want views on tik Tok, Instagram, and YouTube. Not that deep
Bet the third party is just a friend and this is all about the Tiktok views. Apple doesn’t need to do this stealth advertising, social media will do it for them.
