Hi guys! Trying to get Office running on a Mac…How does one get it activated on Mac? On windows it has become so effortless, but I wonder if there’s a similar KMS method on Mac?
Thanks!
Everything you need is here,

Just download the latest version with its volume serializer and you are good to go.
Perfect, thanks! I kinda prefer github sources when available :)
@iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee and @JeyNessuno@lemmy.dbzer0.com register on MacBB and read this thread/post it will provide you with everything you need.
It boils down to downloading Office from Microsoft itself and using a Volume serializer (also provided by MS to big companies) that will add a valid and permanently activated license to Office and updates work without issues as all. Microsoft doesn’t care much about Office for Mac piracy there isn’t a KSM protection and licensing scheme like under Windows.
Bah, download Office for Mac directly from Microsoft. Here’s a link directly to the VolumeLicence.pkg to patch it and here is the VirusTotal report for that file.
As far as I know, the authentication and activation is done via your 365/microsoft account if you have one.
There are others to do it. https://lemmy.world/comment/7193712
I’m looking for this as well. Thanks to a reddit thread I got the 2016 version working but that’s pretty old and track change doesn’t work well
