This is an easy question to get people riled up into a frenzy. So many great games have terrible parts of their communities. I’d say there isn’t a fandom out there of anything that doesn’t have its bad parts.
Hyperfocusing and magnifying that part of a fandom just gives it more of a social footprint though. That’s a sad thing when the game (or whatever) is really good. Somebody who thinks of themselves as a “good” part of the fandom should spend the time and energy showcasing the good things about what they like, and focusing on the better fans. Let the worst parts of a fandom fall into obscurity.
