Suppose for a moment Person A is minding their own business and has two alts. It’s not very well-known they have two accounts, but one day, a second person, person B, learns of this. Person B, who only wants to harass Person A in a way they can’t combat, tries to exploit the no-block-evading rule by blocking the alt they aren’t interested in harassing. They then target the unblocked alt, hoping that, if Person A responds, it will look bad for them in the eyes of Reddit admins.
I’ve bore witness to a lot of this and am wondering if those of us who wait the extreme amounts of time for Reddit to respond to reports (or even if they respond to them at all if somehow it’s picked up that the person being harassed has an alt blocked by the harasser, feel free to answer about that too) and get impatient (which brings up a third question, are the administrative functionalities down today) are punished for trying to verbally shoo them off. What’s the protocol for that?
It’s reddit, dgaf
You didn’t have to answer.
