All of these people would have been giving handjobs to Mussolini and rimming Hitler had they been alive in that time.

    Pathetic and disgusting.

Did anyone expect Fuckerberg to be anything else other than trash? His platform is one of the worst spreaders of misinformation on the planet.

The critical hit captured live on national television looked like a cutscene from a new fallout game.

Zucks passing dominates the new cycle for almost 10 minutes before the enthusiasm about a new fallout game completely overshadows him.

A few years later no one’s ever heard the name Zuckerberg outside of memes about that one oligarch who got melted by the space aliens shortly after first contact.

It turns out he’s the reason they came here, "You can’t let those things get established on your planet, clearly your people didn’t notice but that wasn’t a human. That creature was a mimic and it would have consumed you all if you let it. We’re going to station a few folks here in case another one shows up… and you got to clean this place up it’s a mess down here. "

Yeah, it sure is a good thing that this guy doesn’t have any information that Trump can use. Like, say, intimate details on the lives of 2 billion people.

You’d think that after 35 years of the web we’d be past the point of calling all Internet-related companies “tech companies”. Most of what Meta does isn’t tech.

Yep. No matter what demographic the owners and leaders of these companies come from and support socially, their primary goal is to ensure the corporation can always thrive, regardless of what principles they espouse publicly. Even if it comes at the detriment of their own group.

Of course he did. People like him would not exist, if the law worked as intended, and we’ve already seen how all of them lined up to slobber each other’s knob for tax cuts and law loopholes

      I do. But I have a Quest.

I hate that I had to subscribe to Zuck’s shitty platform for it, and I would wipe all trace of Meta’s social stuff from it if I could. I don’t use any of it, I mostly play tethered to my PC or single-player, mostly offline stuff.

But unfortunately, for the price, there is nothing that comes even close in VR/XR hardware.

I’m in the same boat, with a Quest 2.

My plan is to use it until it’s no longer working, and then replace it with something from someone else, assuming civilization still exists by then and my desire for higher-resolution Beat Saber is still a concern and not scavenging for food, or fighting the raiders or whatever the hell.

I don’t get the ‘oh throw it out and buy a thing that’s not from that bad company!’ responses: that’s the same dumb shit that led to people breaking beer and burning Nikes, which I can assure you nobody gives a shit about as they already have your money.

I also have a Quest tucked away somewhere, given to me by someone who got a newer version. I was planning at some point to take it out and tinker, hoping there was a way to use it without a Facebook-account. But I was perhaps a bit naive to think that?

When I got a quest, I signed up as a developer so I didn’t have to use Facebook for it. Also use it with Steam VR.

I wonder if that is still possible now.

If it’s possible, I might be interested in it. But only if I don’t need a Facebook “developer” account or whatever. If it works, I’d appreciate a post and a guide. :)

I just want an inexpensive VR headset for Steam.
