Looking to leave Lemmy and I’d like to erase my presence here if possible, can this be done? I’ve looked into it and from what I’ve seen, the suggested method is to just not post any more. Which is easy enough, but will I have to manually remove ALL content for all of my accounts in other to remove myself entirely from here?

This is essentially the reason I want to get the fuck out of here. It’s the naive arrogance of kids like you that post here. I thought it would be an alternative to Reddit, but no- it’s just a bunch of whiny children playing at politics.

    For what it’s worth-

I never said what I said was significant. And my reasons shouldn’t be important to you- or necessary to the end goal of getting an answer- but if you’d REALLY like to know, maybe read a bit of the comments before you knee-jerk yourself into embarrassment, because I explained it already.

Thanks though for further proving that I’m making the right call. You will be why this place never reaches its full potential.

Maybe you’re just in the wrong instance, and maybe you just need to block the instances you can’t bear dealing with?

You say you want a Reddit alternative and while this isn’t exactly like reddit, "it’s just a bunch of whiny children playing at politics. " is exactly how I would describe Reddit unless you block the top 10 popular subreddits.

Maybe try blocking the instances you get this vibe from, and move to one more suited to your tastes?

Wanting out of lemmy altogether is like wanting out of earth because China sucks. Just block the instances you don’t like.

For example, I don’t mean to pry, but judging from your comment history, maybe try getting out of lemmy.world and lemmy.ml as a start since the political views of the users there don’t seem to align with yours.

It is hard to recommend anything without knowing what kind of hobbies you’re into, but picking something niche might work well. I am a software engineer so I picked .dev, which turned out not as niche as I initially thought, but being surrounded by likeminded people rather than the majority is a completely different experience.
