      Apparently tankies on Lemmy don’t like Linux any more after some Russian contributors were removed from the maintainers list.

      The contributors were removed because they or their employers (or maybe ex-employers) appeared on the US list of Specially Designated Nationals (SDN). It is illegal for Americans such as Linus Torvalds to conduct business with entities that appear on that list.

          Are you lost? This is not reddit. Also, Russia could stop attacking an european nation to gain some respect back. But they won’t. Instead they threaten everyone with nukes daily and cry why nobody likes them.

              I think they are lost of they think a federated platform can only have people who agree with them. When you make a choice to create software that’s federated, it’s not “yours” anymore, and people on the platform who disagree with you are just as much members as you are.

      They’re crying about the removal of Russians for being a security threat to the project, when they should be directing their hate at the psychopathic megalomaniac.
