Actually someone came to buy a ticket, and was annoyed because they thought they might miss their train having to wait for the minute’s silence to end. Not even the most callous passenger I’ve come across either.

Where did you see that? I’m in the UK, can’t remember exactly which station but pretty sure it was a London station with underground
