But, I’d have to give the nod to either “fade to black”, Metallica; or “closer to fine”, the Indigo Girls
Fade to Black should be obvious. It’s the lyrics, the feel of the song, etc.
Closer to fine isn’t really about the actual lyrics, it’s about the sentiment of them, of moving through life and reaching new places and becoming. You get closer to fine by whatever path you’re on. So, when shit is real, it’s nice to have the reminder.
I started listening to Slayer - Raining Blood while shaving as a joke, now I‘ve conditioned my body to focus when this song plays
Jesus that’s funny. I guess I am gonna go put that on right now while I shave too.
Lemon Jelly - Ramblin’ Man (the whole album is good, but Ramblin’ Man is very chill)
Mr. Scruff - Keep it Unreal (I especially enjoy Midnight Feast, Shanty Town, Jusjus and Fish.)
Hammer Smashed Face by Cannibal Corpse. Something about the soft tones and slow rhythm just put my mind in a very gentle state.
