SpaceX has launched Starship, the most powerful rocket ever built, on its fifth test flight,” CNN reports.

“For the first time, the company attempted and succeeded in bringing back and safely land the rocket’s booster, called Super Heavy, which is taller than a 20-story building.”

SpaceX launched 80% of Earth’s entire global launch mass last year. This year they are on track to make it 90%.

Contemplate that before you make your comment on “Elmo”.

I can hate Elon and also think space x are doing cool stuff (except the issues with the starlink constellation). They are beating Boeing with the crewed missions to ISS and the booster catch today was incredible. Just the guy at the very top is an arsehole.

Even Starlink is amazing, global internet connectivity is a game changer. It has some serious environmental concerns with deorbiting satellites causing a dramatic uptick in atmospheric aerosols, however.

Yeah that’s the issue I have with it. Also that it’s so many satellites for a single private company. It would be even worse if Amazon or someone tries to compete. Ideally itwould be open like GPS.

Shotwell, the women actually running spaceX, is doing a great job.

This idiot, who unbanned thousands of Nazis on twitter while pumping 10s to 100s of millions into the campaign of Donald Trump, isn’t.
