Adguard, It took me so long but finally did it

Game Changer!

With all the recent enshittification BS anti consumer tactics Google, YouTube etc are doing these days

I decided to finally take full advantage of discount sale purchasing a lifetime licence of Adguard

It’s been a couple months & I’m just absolutely flabbergasted at the statistics of blocked ads/trackers/threats

Mind you I’ve always used ad blockers (Ublock Origin) & even those numbers are mind boggling

But Adguard just hits different

My mobile provider luckily doesn’t give a $hit about piracy

Adguard feels like my user experience just gives a more superior overall usage without feeling violated with intrusive anti consumer tactics

I’m so glad Adguard is doing everything to fight against Google’s anti consumer tactics

ALWAYS fight the good fight!

“Cut one head off, Two will take it’s place”

Adguard for the win

Eh, I import thousands of block lists into Unbound and call it a day. I like using apps but don’t like being tracked, so a browser extension just won’t cut it for me.

Remember that PiHole exists too, and it’s free. But congrats on improving your overall privacy.

I use the free Adguard DNS server with the private DNS function on my phone. It works well enough for me. I don’t see any reason to get the paid version. Of course I have uBlock Origin, but the DNS ad blocking helps in apps other than my web browser.

Why would you purchase a license of Adguard when ublock origin not only is faster and better, but it’s also free.

I can’t even understand the concept of purchasing a license for a browser extension.

I’m pretty sure Adguard is more than just a browser extension. They have an app for many different OSs, which I think makes setting up their DNS ad blocking on your devices easier and simpler. There’s also Adguard Home, which is similar to pi-hole, if you want to self host a DNS ad blocker.

      They also offer a VPN.

So you aren’t paying just for a browser extension necessarily.

      I still use Ublock Origin

With google implementing MV3, Alot of useful extensions that rely on MV2 will no longer work

I use brave browser simply for the extensions I use personally

I only paid $30 for a lifetime licence & feel it’s already worth it for the overall experience

        paying for extensions

        using a crypto scam browser

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, but you should do some research.
