Hi so I am looking for a free open source version of google analytics but I cannot find one they either require hosting or is paid thank you (for my portfolio website)

Where is the analytics data supposed to go if you aren’t hosting a service to store it? Are you expecting the author of this free and open source analytics platform to also provide free hosting and storage?
So, basically you want an open source google analytics alternative, hosted by someone else, that has a free tier.
I don’t believe that exists. But you shoukd check on alternativeto.com, open each alternative’s web page and check their plans.
Alr thank you if a analytics does not support hosting then I can use the closed source ones but I found a open source one

oracle has perpetual free tier VMs, just selfhost it
