What is your favorite modern boomer shooter? Boomer shooters are modern FPS games that are inspired by classic FPS games of the 90s, like Ion Fury and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun. Of course, there are way too many boomer shooters to count, I can’t list out all of them, but I can bet that at least one of you love boomer shooters and have a favorite one that you always go back to.

My personal favorite modern boomer shooter is Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer (no, I did not mistype the title, it’s actually spelled ‘vengance’ in the title), which is a FPS game released by Zane Lofton, a character from the amazing indie game Hypnospace Outlaw, a puzzle game that takes place in an alternate 90s internet. The game is more or less a game that an edgy teen would have dreamed of making back in the 90s, and the game is full of edgy jokes and gross-out humor, and it carries some aspects from Duke Nukem as well. With the help of one of his old friends, Zane was able to finish Slayers X and put it online, 20 years later. It released last year in 2023, and it has been a charm to keep playing, at least for me.

While Slayers X is my personal favorite, I wanna know what yours are.
