- What is the difference between a road and a street (English is not my first language)? - Streets usually have a higher density of residential buildings and stores along them, while roads connect between the populated areas, and typically lead through mountains, fields or forests. 
- A road can be virtually anything. Gravel. Dirt. Or a kinda nice pavement. Roads are generic, and can take you out of towns/cities to literally anywhere else. - A street is at least supposed to be nice & paved, maybe some heavier concrete for durability. Streets are in cities & towns, connecting businesses & people living in a more concentrated urban environment. All streets are roads, I suppose…but not all roads are streets. 
- the short of it is that roads get you between places quickly and comfortably, while streets are the destinations you go between.
