Just a description of the problem and symptoms, no new info on treatment.
“COVID-19 infections continue to outnumber flu cases and lead to more hospitalization and death than the flu. COVID-19 also leads to more serious long-term health problems. Trivializing COVID-19 as an inconsequential cold or equating it with the flu does not align with reality.”
The point seems to be to try to tell the kind of person who probably won’t read this article that they’re wrong to say that COVID isn’t a big deal.
So you mean it’s not “just the flu” like the antivaxxers have told me so often? (Ignoring the fact that the 1918 flu killed between 20 and 50 million people.)
Now: “People die all the time, whatever.”
Eventually: “My family are dead and I feel sick, help.”
When people fabricate a short-term reality based on convenience rather than facts, people make a worse world for everyone.
Don’t really think there is or will be treatment for damaged cells. I’m already used to never tasting sugar anymore. 😅
My condolences. I don’t think I’d be able to eat if I didn’t have taste.
Is sugar the only one that you taste?
I think I taste everything else but sugar. It’s just… Empty absolutely nothing. I still like sour, savory and such.
It’s not that I care eating sugar by itself but sweetness is as a flavor is mixed into many things and that part is just missing.
The body is genuinely incredible, cells are replaced all the time and maybe you’ll get your sweet taste back. I lost the ability to taste spicy food, took me around 9 months to get it back.
I’m already used to never tasting sugar anymore.
On the bright side, having no reason to consume sugar will have health benefits.
It’s a big deal. Know a few people with either annoying or downright awful symptoms. All were vaccinated. How quickly we forget.
