Would be nice if every time you heard about a conservative saying horrid, inhumane shit, you could just click a button to watch a video montage of all of their collective head injuries throughout life, as well as all the times that they reached their arms out to hug a parent and the parent didn’t reasons or called them weak for trying.

I guess also all the times the conservatives with penises masturbated to pictures of other men in fishing magazines while crying in a literal closest or the times they were caught by mother dressing in her clothes and were beaten with a wooden spoon, burnt with her lady cigarette and told, “You’re sick don (or Ted, or Lindsay, or Mitch, or Dennis, or Rush or whatever young upturned pig nose conservative name they had) we’ll never tell your daddy about this sickness”.

Now, these would be VERY long videos, but they would help shed some light on the condition in each case.

That’s all conservatives know how to do. They’re cruel people with only cruelty to offer. Let them display otherwise and prove me wrong. They can’t.

Have you ever broken the speed limit? Because crossing the U.S. border illegally is a civil violation, not a crime, as is breaking the speed limit. So you’re the safest driver in the world, right? Either that or you might be a bit hypocritical.

Ah right, it couldn’t possibly be people are entering the country “illegally” because the process to get into the country takes forever, and is broken. Always their own fault am a i right?

Edit: Here an article about a specific case of legal asylum. They applied for it, and are still waiting to get approved for a work application, and don’t have a court date for asylum until 2026, and that’s if they even get approved for all this. So you tell me, would you wait 3-4 years for a process to play out while you could get shipped back to a place you don’t feel safe?

It is literally the only option if you want your case processed in less than 10 years. Don’t act like the immigration system works, it’s broken, intentionally broken to get these results.

Obama and Biden deported more people in their first terms than were deported during Trump’s administration.

      1. The definition of deportation changed under Obama, making him have 2.5 million in his 8 years compared to Bush’s 2 million, under the old definition it would be a lot lower.

      2. Trump deported 1.8 million people total, Biden deported 2million. However, 2.3 million people were released into the country after being taken into custody, while less than 300k were under Trump.

      3. Biden’s administration has seen double the border hoppers as Trump’s administration did. Despite this he let Trump era border policies expire, making it harder to deport people. He also placed a hold on ICE arrests, deportations, and raids.

“Trump era border policies” that stopped people from seeking asylum inside the USA were based off emergency response to COVID-19. As that shifted from pandemic to endemic, the USA stopped its emergency response. So yeah, those asylum restrictions also stopped. Duh. Or do you think the federal government should continue using emergency powers to address COVID?

Besides Covid policies, he also restricted ICE and ended other Trump era policies put in place before covid. The big one used to turn the most people away was due to the pandemic and rightfully ended.

He also enacted tougher border restrictions and basically copied Trumps strategy which so many Dems thought was a genius move because now Trump couldn’t criticise him on it as if that was more important than migrants dying.

I think the main issue is the total number, even though more are being deported it is not keeping up with illegal crossings which have increased dramatically. I think the only real way to fix it is force cities that arrest illegal migrants to hand them over to ICE and expedite deportations.

No? Why act so dishonestly and try to frame it as something it’s not?

Under Trump, from fiscal year 2017 to fiscal year 2020, the Department of Homeland Security recorded 2 million deportations

          And

During Obama’s first term, fiscal year 2009 to fiscal year 2012, there were 3.2 million deportations

Americans really need to learn they have a right wing and a far right wing party.

It’s often a fact “both sides” don’t enjoy, but it’s still a fact.

Trump was super ineffective in implementing his horrible rhetoric. It took Obama a term, and some judgements and a settlement against what his administration was up to, to start treating people more like people. And Biden has been “business as usual” as he’s dealt with the influx of humans after COVID restrictions were lifted.
