I have a decent website I’ve been working on. It has some neat features that are still being developed.

It is a full blown social media site.

-100mb posting (30-60 second videos max) -Music posting -Picture posting -poll posting -tagging -Flows similar to instagram

It has a similar layout to Tumblr but also has a decent direct messaging system. It has custom profiles, and is available on the Google play store.

Instead of having to deal with people complaining about content moderation and antisemitism I figure I could just federalize it and allow people to set up their own instance. On my instance though I like it to be more loose with the free speech. If anyone is interested in this site or would like a copy, drop a like on this post. That way I can gauge interest. If a lot of people do like the feel of the software, I am considering open sourcing it. I don’t know I guess I’ll just see if anyone likes the look of it.

Flaws: It has a Captcha system to keep out bots

If I licensed the software to people for free, but in return asked for a 20% royalty on ads served would people do it? Any ads bought on your instance you would get 80% of the sale, and to keep paying for the development of Tiblur I would take 20% from all the instances. Any ads bought on the main instance would be 100% me obviously. The ads would appear Facebook style in feed. There’s a reason Facebook is king in the advertising world, it’s because no one likes YouTube’s 3 second ad routine every video. People would rather scroll over a post in feed.
